Dr Aidan Foley has over fifteen years’ experience as a hydrogeologist and environmental scientist specialising in hydrogeology, hydrology and environmental geology.

The majority of his work has involved field-based, laboratory and modelling studies of surface and groundwater, with particular emphasis on hydrochemistry, contaminant and tracer transport, aquifer and well-field vulnerability assessment and surface-water/groundwater interactions. Aidan has also worked extensively on risk assessment and remediation of groundwater resources and is particularly interested in the hydrogeology and geomorphology of karstic limestone aquifers and in the role of peat within catchment hydrology.

Aidan Holds an MSc in Environmental Sciences and a PhD in Geological Sciences, as well as professional affiliations with the International Association of Hydrogeologists (he is currently the membership secretary for the British Chapter of the IAH), and is a Fellow of the Geological Society of London.

Aidan founded Environmental Geology & Geotechnical Consultants Ltd. in April 2010, and Water Tracing Services UK (in conjunction with Dr Rob Low) in 2013. His CV may be viewed HERE, or his profile at Linked In may be viewed here: Aidan Foley at LinkedIn
